Back to space for living: rural

Our client Lightmoor Homes commissioned us to develop a new dwelling for a site they had purchased on the outskirts of a village in West Oxfordshire. The site had formerly been occupied by an above ground concrete reservoir so despite its woodland setting was defined as ‘Brownfield Lane’. The scheme we have developed takes advantage of the natural screening afforded by the surrounding wood and consequently comprises a lot of glazing to the ground floor accommodation thus allowing the site to flow under the building and extended views through the building. The building is to be clad in Corten Steel and Concrete cladding panels to reflect the robust and industrial past use of the site.
